Amazon was screwed before the big sale, sellers said frankly: Prime Day may be over

As we all know, Amazon follow-selling has always been a major problem that has troubled many sellers. Basically, as long as you enter this industry, you will more or less encounter the situation of being followed, and every time you encounter it, you will feel very angry.

Amazon PD is approaching, and the copycats are out again

In fact, the issue of follow-selling has rarely been discussed by sellers in recent times. But as Amazon's peak sales season approaches, follow-selling has become restless again, and the related topic has once again entered people's field of vision.

There is still more than a month to go before Amazon Prime Day, and many sellers have already made preparations, hoping to seize this opportunity to boost sales. However, while ordinary sellers are busy preparing stocks and offering discounts, a few "evil-minded" sellers have other plans in mind.

It is understood that recently many sellers have reported that their products have been maliciously copied and sold at low prices, resulting in a significant reduction in the price of ASIN. This was followed by errors in flash sales, indicating that the price needed to be adjusted. Some sellers even said that this year's Membership Day might be over.

This situation seems to have become a "routine". Before every big sale, there will be copycat sellers who jump out and sell at low prices, trying to lower the big sale flash sale prices of other sellers.

An industry insider analyzed that this kind of "suicidal" copy-selling behavior before the big sale is mainly to disrupt competitors on Member Day, and they have never thought about making money.

Faced with this kind of behavior that harms others and does not benefit oneself, many sellers simply say they can't stand it.

"The number of orders suddenly dropped. I looked and found that someone was selling my products in the middle of the night, and the price was half of mine. I was so angry!"

"The R label hasn't come out yet. I've been copycatting for a week. There's nothing I can do about it."

"I spent $30 on a single ad at night but didn't get a single sale. It turned out that someone was copying me! In order to get my shopping cart back, I competed with the copycat in the middle of the night."

In order to catch up with the copycats, sellers have tried every possible means.

Generally speaking, brand sellers whose products are copied will file complaints directly through the platform, but improper operations may lead to the platform judging it as brand abuse and destroying their accounts.

Recently, some sellers have found that they can also follow the sales through the 12315 platform, and the effect is quite good. The specific operation is:

First, find the company information of the follow-selling seller on the Amazon front desk and search for its full company name and unified social credit code.

After that, you can file a complaint against this follow-selling company on the national 12315 platform. The reason for the complaint can be that the company uses a fake registered address, because most follow-selling companies dare not use real company addresses. Or you can report that this company manufactures and sells counterfeit products and sells them on the Amazon platform. Generally, these two reasons will be accepted by the platform.

Finally, after the 12315 platform successfully handles the case, the complained follow-selling company will be shown to be in an abnormal state. You can then file a complaint through Amazon about the abnormal situation of the seller's company and wait for Amazon to handle it.

Although this method has a good success rate, it also has certain limitations. It can only be used for sellers who are registered as Chinese companies.

Some time ago, Amazon also launched a policy on unbranded products. "Unbranded products" are also called "white label products", which refer to non-branded products that do not belong to any identifiable brand. When sellers create new product information, they should use the "Generic" string in the brand name field.

However, although there are so many ways to catch copycats, and the act of copycats has always been despised by people in the industry, there are still many people willing to get involved in it to make money, and even related industries have been spawned about copycats.

Selling courses openly, Amazon follows suit and starts recruiting disciples?

In the eyes of most people, although following others’ sales does not violate Amazon’s regulations, it cannot be considered a very glorious behavior. Therefore, most sellers who follow others’ sales are doing so secretly.

But what many sellers did not expect was that someone had turned training on how to copy sell into a business and was promoting it openly on major social media platforms.

Some time ago, a seller revealed that he found a blogger on the Internet who specializes in teaching people how to follow others in selling. The posts published by this blogger are mainly related to how to follow others in selling.

Someone questioned the blogger's post, saying that if following others can really make money, why do you still teach others? Isn't this stealing your own business? In response, the blogger simply said that you can make more money by teaching students to sell together, but this statement is completely unconvincing.

In addition to this blogger, there are also multiple live broadcast rooms for follow-selling tutorials on a certain short video platform. According to feedback from a seller, when he was browsing a certain short video platform recently, he was often pushed live broadcasts related to Amazon, and most of them were related to follow-selling, which really surprised him.

The seller analyzed that this type of live broadcast room mainly attracts novices who don’t know much about cross-border e-commerce or Amazon. These people will definitely be interested when they hear that they can make money, but they don’t know the various pitfalls involved.

Although the cross-border e-commerce industry is no longer the era where you can make money by entering the market as it was a few years ago, to some outsiders, cross-border e-commerce sounds very "high-end" and is definitely more promising than domestic e-commerce.

It is precisely by grasping the mentality of some newbies that relevant training courses came into being. However, how deep the water is, I am afraid only those who have waded through it know.

Earlier, there was news that many people were deceived after participating in follow-up sales training, and basically each person was deceived about 10,000 yuan on average. The process of being deceived is similar. First, the people doing the training will release some screenshots of short-term sales surges to attract laymen to consult, and then charge the other party for various reasons, and finally lose contact, collect the money and run away.

After the news was exposed, it caused heated discussions among sellers. Many people said that these people deserved to be cheated. After all, they only wanted to make money by any means, and finally got retribution. But some people also said that these people may not know what copy selling is, but just paid money to sign up after being fooled.

As Amazon's big sale approaches, this wave of "copycat sales" is expected to continue in the short term. Sellers are advised to prepare in advance, check their accounts regularly, and take action as soon as possible if they find that their products are being copied.
