Is Amazon's new warehouse entry rule a hype? Pay attention to product packaging

Recently, news about Amazon’s new warehousing regulations has spread quickly. The content also emphasized that if the requirements are not met, sellers will face the risk of abandoning goods. However, many sellers have questioned this: Aren’t these all the original ones?

From what has been circulated so far, Amazon will implement stricter requirements on outer boxes starting from the beginning of this month. Specific requirements include prohibiting the use of straps on the outer boxes; prohibiting the use of boxes with third-party logos; and excluding sellers' return boxes with Amazon logos.

In addition, the notice also stated that Amazon will also prohibit the practice of combining boxes, and pay attention to whether the labels are expired. The notice also stated that Amazon labels must be affixed to at least two boxes per box (Amazon stipulates that at least four boxes must be affixed to each box ). The notice stated that the reason for the stricter standards for outer boxes this time is that Amazon has begun to slowly switch to assembly lines.

The news has attracted the attention of many sellers and freight forwarders, but many people said that the regulation has actually existed for a long time, and it is not ruled out that freight forwarders are speculating. In addition, some people said that if Amazon had issued new regulations, sellers would have received the notice long ago!

The editor also verified with the seller and the freight forwarder and received different answers . The seller said that he has not received any official notice from Amazon, but has seen notices issued by several freight forwarders. Several freight forwarders said that they have implemented this new rule and issued relevant notices.

It is not difficult to find that there are indeed some overlaps between the current new regulations and the previous warehousing regulations , such as labeling , but some sellers said that there are indeed a few more . Some sellers also consulted Amazon support staff, who said that there are no clear requirements for third-party logos and websites, but if the packaging box is reused, the original ones must be removed.

Regardless of whether the so-called new rules are a reprint of the old rules or an additional supplement, this reminds sellers to pay more attention to product packaging issues. Although sellers have not received official notifications from Amazon, some sellers said that it is better to be cautious . After all, it is true that Amazon has taken strict measures in all aspects.
