An employee embezzled company assets and hacked into company accounts, and was criminally detained!

Many times, judging from the results of things alone, some bosses have become vulnerable groups!

It seems that the conflicts between employees and companies will trigger a heated discussion every once in a while. Some time ago , the incident of " a former employee in Shenzhen tampered with the company's account information, causing serious losses and was criminally detained " was exposed. Recently, the editor discovered another incident in which an employee was suspected of embezzlement and was criminally detained by the police station.

In the cross-border e-commerce industry, in addition to the delicate relationship between company bosses and their employees, the relationship with suppliers and freight forwarders is equally complicated. It is not uncommon for freight forwarders to disguise themselves as follow-selling, and suppliers to disguise themselves as follow-selling. Although interests are at work behind the tragedy, this also serves as a reminder to the majority of cross-border sellers: If you are not careful in everything, you will inevitably suffer losses, and you must take preventive measures in advance.

A former sales employee was detained for misappropriating the company's legal assets and hacking into the company's accounts

Recently, another conflict and dispute between a cross-border e-commerce company and its employees has surfaced. It is understood that several former sales employees of a cross-border e-commerce company not only opened private accounts to compete with peers in the company during work, but also used their positions to hack into the company's accounts. As a result, they were criminally detained.

The cross-border e-commerce company stated in detail that several former sales employees including Li and Wang worked in the company from January to December 2020. During this period, they were suspected of registering Amazon accounts that competed with the company's peers , and used their position to completely tamper with the delivery addresses of a large number of the company's Amazon customers , thereby misappropriating the company's legal assets. The orders involved were large in number and amount, and the company's parent account was frozen, causing huge and irreparable economic losses to the company.

After the cross-border e-commerce company discovered this situation, it reported it to the Shenzhen Public Security Bureau and opened an investigation. The Shenzhen Public Security Bureau believed that these employees were suspected of embezzlement and that a criminal fact had occurred and they needed to be held criminally responsible.

According to the editor, the employees of the above-mentioned company were criminally detained by the police station.

Regarding this incident, some people said that employees can do it on their own, but please stick to the moral bottom line, do not occupy company resources, do not take up working time, and make money in a proper way! Others said that if you want to work alone, you should work alone, and if you want to work, you should work. It is definitely not okay to use company resources to do your own things.

Two or three contradictory things: employees stole items from the warehouse and sold them at a low price, and retaliated against the company while still employed

Examples like the one above are not uncommon, but not every company can get justice.

Previously, a cross-border seller asked the editor for help. An employee of the company messed up the company's products, causing serious losses to the company, which was specifically manifested in the following aspects:

1. Selling products at 0 price, resulting in inventory clearance and a loss of more than 60,000 yuan ;

2. Accounts follow each other and list products with the same model, resulting in account association ;

3. Not replying to emails, causing the customer to open 20 AZs and kill the account;

4. After the account was dead, they said they were moving warehouses, but in the end, all the warehouses were abandoned, resulting in a loss of 200,000 yuan in products and shipping costs;

5. Four old listings were ruined, resulting in a monthly profit loss of 200,000 yuan.

After the incident, some people said that the boss was really pitiful, while others commented that normally things should end amicably, and the employee must have done this because the boss did something unacceptable. As for the real reason for the breakup, perhaps only the employee and the boss themselves know.

In the cross-border e-commerce industry, in addition to operations and sales employees who may do things that are detrimental to the company, warehouse pickers may also secretly sell the company's products.

One seller said that at first he did not know whether the warehouse staff was selling the company's products at a low price on a certain fish website, or whether the supplier had found his products on a certain fish website. The seller only discovered the company employee's behavior after investigation. So the seller asked the employee to resign voluntarily, which was considered to save the employee's face.

After experiencing or seeing too many things like this, an industry insider concluded that when a good boss encounters a bad employee or a good employee encounters a bad boss, their hearts will become harder and harder.

Freight forwarders and suppliers also sell company products

Cross-border e-commerce is at the center of interests, and the conflicts that arise include not only conflicts between companies and employees, but also conflicts between companies and suppliers and freight forwarders.

As for suppliers, if you meet a good supplier, it will be fine. But if you meet a bad supplier, the seller will unknowingly become a lamb to be slaughtered.

In reality, there are countless examples of sellers being cheated by suppliers. Not long ago, a seller posted a message asking for help, saying that he found a supplier on a domestic shopping platform, spent money to make a mold and customize a product, but found that his product was copied and sold, and was maliciously given a 1-star feedback. The seller investigated and found that the copy-selling account was actually the supplier's company name. When he went to the supplier to coordinate, the supplier responded that it was not him who was copying, and that everyone on the Amazon platform could compete reasonably...

Other sellers who made micro-innovations in their products were also attacked from behind by suppliers , which prompted a seller to spit on Weibo: For those who make micro-innovations in their products, by the time you get the sample, it may have already been sold on Amazon. Many 1688 stores have Amazon customers on hand, and they will do anything to make money.

In fact, the pits that suppliers set for sellers are far more than just selling without any bottom line. For example, to save costs, many suppliers will replace materials or accessories; some suppliers even give priority to supplying large sellers, and small sellers cannot do anything when they are out of stock after a surge in orders during the peak season ... In this regard, one seller joked that suppliers are like philandering husbands, who need to be watched all the time, and will do something weird to you if you are not careful .

In terms of logistics, in fact, many logistics companies also have Amazon accounts. If the seller's products are not careful, they will be followed by freight forwarders. The editor's investigation found that in addition to logistics companies, they also sell goods on Amazon. Employees of logistics companies also sell goods part-time. As an important part of the cross-border industry, freight forwarders can be said to be very clear about which products are selling well and which products are the best-selling. Faced with such a profitable business, it is inevitable that some people will not be able to resist the temptation and open private accounts to follow the seller's products.

A seller friend also expressed his concerns: I have always been worried about the problem of freight forwarders following my sales, and I am even more afraid that the freight forwarders will intercept the goods midway and sell them themselves, and then only give me a low price as compensation ...

Human hearts cannot stand the test, money cannot stand the temptation, and follow-selling incidents occur frequently. The editor has also seen many sellers complain about Amazon’s follow-selling mechanism: without the follow-selling system full of loopholes, there wouldn’t be so many troubles!

How to avoid various disputes

Employees, suppliers, and logistics connect the various links in cross-border e-commerce transactions. If any link fails, it means the company may get into trouble.

Therefore, how to avoid risks in advance is also a science.

At the employee level, each incident of employees maliciously retaliating against the company also reflects the company's lack of standardized e-commerce operation management, the lack of effective communication between bosses and employees, and poor management.

At the supplier level, sellers must be extremely cautious when choosing suppliers. Take follow-selling as an example. If the seller signs an agreement before customizing the mold, and it is bound by black and white and official seal, it is recommended that the seller apply for a patent if he wants to make this product for a long time. In this way, it will be difficult for the supplier to find loopholes.

Company management is a process of constantly stepping on pitfalls and filling in the gaps . If sellers want to avoid various disputes, they must stick to principles and be careful at every step.
