Rue du Commerce is a French e-commerce platform. Rue du Commerce was founded by Gauthier Picquart and Patrick Jacquemin in 1999. In 2016, in order to implement the omni-channel sales strategy and consolidate its market share in the 3C field, French retail giant Carrefour acquired Rue du Commerce in full and embedded its own online sales platform into Rue du Commerce, turning Rue du Commerce into a comprehensive retail e-commerce.

Since its acquisition in 2016, Rue du Commerce has achieved annual sales of 439 million euros, an average of 6 million visits per month, an average shopping cart value of 205 euros, more than 9 million loyal customers, more than 750 online sellers, and more than 1,200 brands.

According to Lengow's French sales data analysis, the main consumers of Rue du Commerce are high-income people aged 25-49; 54% are male and 46% are female.


Entry conditions

1. Enterprises need to provide business licenses for settlement;

2. French customer service handles daily inquiries from buyers;

3. English or French operators are responsible for communicating with the platform;

4. Reasonable logistics period;

5. Experience in cross-border e-commerce, sales experience on European and French platforms is preferred, with store links attached.


Settlement process

After clicking on "Sign in", and receiving the registration email from Rue du Commerce, the seller has 72 hours to fill in and submit the registration form. After completing the form, Rue du Commerce will contact the seller within 15 working days.

Note: The following supporting documents are required for registration: the latest status of the company; KBIS or company registration certificate for at least 3 months; EAN or SKU list to be sold on the Rue du Commerce market (recommended); ID card or passport of the legal representative; bank details (RIB/IBAN); beneficiary statement.

Like most platforms, sellers can register an account for free directly on Rue du Commerce. The monthly rental fee is 40 euros, and the commission fee depends on the product category and includes taxes.
