Since its high-profile landing in the United States, Temu has been plagued by controversies, but this does not seem to affect its pace forward.
However, as Western consumers gradually become familiar with the novelty brought by its low-price strategy, more and more people are now beginning to demand its quality and quality.
Recently, the Better Business Bureau of the United States said that it had recently received more than 900 complaints and more than 700 user reviews about Temu, many of which began to question the authenticity of Temu.
It is understood that Dale Dickson, an official of the American Business Improvement Association, was recently interviewed and specified what the recent complaints about Temu mainly focus on.
When asked what exactly Temu is, Dell explained, “Temu is a Boston-based e-commerce platform that allows consumers to shop online through mobile apps and websites. In addition, Temu offers products from merchants and manufacturers around the world in multiple categories, including fashion jewelry, home kitchen goods, sports and outdoor sports goods, and toys and games, among others.”
The online retailer is one of the most popular apps right now — ranking third and second in the Apple and Google app stores, respectively, according to a news site.
Regarding complaints received by the Better Business Bureau about Temu, Dell said:
“Temu is a foreign company registered through Delaware. It seems that the goods ordered are often shipped directly from manufacturers in China and other countries. As we have said, there are more than 900 complaints, most of which involve product quality or shipping/delivery issues. In addition, we have received more than 700 customer reviews, with an average rating of 2.5 stars.”
It can be seen that in the context of the sluggish US economy, although consumers' desire to save money is stronger than usual, facing the continuous exposure of product quality problems, I am afraid that more and more people will become dissatisfied.
Recently, someone shared that he bought a clothes hanger from Temu, but found that it was completely unusable after receiving it. However, when he applied for a refund, the platform was very straightforward and did not even ask him to return the goods.
Some people speculate that, like its domestic strategies, Temu is currently using a low-price strategy to seize the market temporarily, and will gradually introduce measures to ensure product quality in the future. However, it will probably take time to prove what the future will be like. Temu complaint Better Business Bureau |
