This big promotion has brought a bumper year to many Amazon sellers. Some sellers believe that the traffic on Amazon's Prime Day is high, and the traffic explosion in these two days may exceed that of Black Friday and Cyber ​​Monday.

 

Many sellers said that even if they did not participate in the event, their sales volume was rising, more than doubling compared to usual times; those who reported discounts and flash sales were even more successful, with more stable sales increasing by five or six times, and those with a smaller sales base even increasing by more than 10 times, and the sellers were very happy.

The sellers watching said that a single-day sales of 200 million is the ceiling level, and there are only a few accounts like that in China. Currently on Temu, the Temu week sale is going on, which the platform calls "the biggest sale of the season", with items reduced to $0.99.

 

There are many categories participating in this promotion, including pet supplies, office and school supplies, children's shoes and clothing, menswear, jewelry and accessories, toys and games, mobile phones and accessories, luggage and bags, smart home, womenswear, courtyard garden, mother and baby supplies, outdoor, home kitchen, etc. The discounts in many categories are as high as more than 95%, with pet supplies starting at as low as US$0.35 and men's underwear and pajamas starting at US$0.44.

 

 

Prior to this, Temu had issued multiple price reduction alerts, with women's bags at $0.99 and sandals at $0.64 being readily available at surprisingly low prices. Amazon PD sets record

 

Data from market research firm Numerator shows that the size of orders on the first day of Amazon Prime Day hit a new high. As of 4 p.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday, July 11, the average order value of Prime Day was $56.26, an increase of nearly 8% from $52.22 in the same period of 2022. U.S. consumers spent $6.4 billion online in the first 24 hours of Amazon Prime Day.

 

The UK site was far inferior. According to Adobe Analytics, Amazon's UK site had sales of 581 million pounds on the first day, up only 1.3% from the first day of Prime Day last year.

 

During the promotion period, traffic is surging, and various discounts divert traffic to different sellers, but Amazon's promotion rules cannot convince all sellers.

 

One seller pointed out: "The reference price for member discounts is not set according to a logic or standard, which results in some sellers being able to raise prices and then offer member discounts at the original price, while some sellers have to raise prices by 15% of the lowest price, or even lower than the lowest price in the past 30 days. How can this be fair?"

 

Replaying this Membership Day promotion, auxiliary tools crashed, Amazon pages crashed, flash sales displayed abnormally ... despite multiple problems, it was still a great success, which is not easy.

 

Another interesting situation is that there has always been controversy over whether to "work night shifts" between two consecutive membership day activities , and this year it has been brought up for debate again.

 

Many people think that working overtime all night is unnecessary. Some sellers said frankly that the key is to work in peacetime. Cross-border e-commerce is not for the domestic market. The delivery is done by Amazon couriers. Customers don’t ask questions when they buy things. I don’t know why they need to work overtime. “I don’t understand what those people who are squatting are thinking. What should be done should be done before the PD starts. Why are they squatting?”

 

In response, some sellers said they needed to add inventory according to the progress bar or to prevent competitors from making fun of them, which is why they had to work night shifts.
