Amazon front-end search has changed, and traffic may be newly allocated

Recently, many sellers have reported that several new changes have appeared in Amazon's front-end search results.

 

Specifically, Amazon added three new product labels at the same time - Overall Pick , New A rrival Pick , and Popular Brand Pick .

 

Overall Pick : Amazon's official explanation is Amazon's Choice: Overall Pick . This product is highly rated, well-priced, and available to ship immediately. (Amazon's Choice: Overall choice, this product is highly rated, reasonably priced, and can be shipped immediately.)

 

Therefore, some sellers believe that this may be a new label to replace the original Amazon Choice label. However, some sellers believe that it is a label that selects the best recommendation from a group of similar products in Amazon Choice .

Overall, it’s a mixed preferred label . I feel like this is more advanced than the regular AC label .

 

When searching for some categories, the results will show the Overall Pick label. However, when you click into the corresponding product listing, the page still shows Amazon Choice. At present, this new label seems to be in the testing phase. The editor has found that it has appeared in products such as Dupray steam cleaning products and Anker headphones.

 

 

In addition, a seller found that the product had the New Arrival Pick logo by searching for new products that had been on the shelves for a short time . The seller said that the product was put on the shelves on March 21 this year , started to be ranked around May 20 , and received the first VINE review on May 28. It has been sold for about a month, with an average ranking of about 30,000, and an estimated monthly sales of about 150 .

 

It is still unknown why Amazon has this label. Does it apply to all new products or does it depend on the product’s market “sustainability”?

 

Another Popular Brand Pick label does not seem to receive much attention from sellers .

 

As for why Amazon added three new labels, some sellers speculated:

 

1. Overall Pick (which can be regarded as the original AC mark) is the most selected item under the word . It can consolidate the best-selling products under the word and make the hot-selling products continue to explode;

2. New A rrival Pick (an encouraging sign for new released products) helps promote new products in the market ;

3. Popular Brand Pick (“Trendy Brand” traffic brand selection) , select the brand with the widest vertical coverage and the best data under the keyword , and encourage sellers to build brands and create vertical brands.

 

Of course, there are still many sellers who think that the Best Seller label is more conspicuous and will have higher effective traffic . Some sellers also believe that the emergence of the new label may accelerate the monopoly of the market by the top brands, and the market space for new products and non-top brands will be smaller .

 

The specific impact will have to wait for the full promotion of the labels and market feedback to verify. Sellers are also wondering: the basis for obtaining the labels and whether the labels can bring effective traffic to the products ... At present, these new labels do not appear frequently on Amazon, but many sellers believe that they may be gradually warmed up before Prime Day and officially launched during the event.
