Recently , SHEIN launched its third-party platform "Shein Marketplace" in Brazil and the United States , allowing third-party sellers to join its market to help sellers reach a wider customer base .

 

Now, the online marketplace has announced that it will work with third-party sellers to expand the product categories in the platform marketplace to include home appliances, smart home products, and home DIY products.

 

As a result, customers can now buy more than just clothing on the platform, but also products such as portable washing machines, remote-controlled lighting, bathroom and kitchen fixtures, etc.

 

This move not only allows SHEIN to meet customers' growing demand for product categories , but also enables the platform to provide customers with faster fulfillment times. And the company said it will gradually launch this model in other markets in the coming months .

 

Neil Saunders, managing director of market analysis firm GlobalData Retail, said that for Shein, expanding into new categories is a natural trend. Although the clothing category still has potential for development on this platform, rapid development also means that it will face bottlenecks. Considering that the platform has a wide range of users and that user demand has expanded to some non-clothing categories, the platform will naturally want to have more goods on its market to expand its share of customers.

In addition, SHEIN has also reached cooperation agreements with many well-known global brands to allow these brands to sell on the platform . For example, Skechers , a footwear company known for its innovative designs, and Lansinoh, a trusted brand of mother care products, have already settled on this platform.

 

SHEIN also stated that it will cooperate with more well-known brands to bring customers a richer range of fashion, beauty and lifestyle . While allowing customers to purchase more types of goods through the platform, they can continue to enjoy exclusive offers such as quality assurance, 7-day free returns and premium prices.

 

Molly Miao, chief operating officer of SHEIN, said in a statement that the company has always been committed to providing customers with high-quality products at reasonable prices, and the move to expand product categories confirms this purpose; by cooperating with these selected brands, it not only highlights the unique value of SHEIN's new market, but also demonstrates the company's emphasis on customer satisfaction and shows the public the company's mission to make fashion and lifestyle products accessible to everyone .

 

In addition, to celebrate the expansion of the platform categories, SHEIN has also launched a summer promotion where customers can enjoy discounts of up to 90% when shopping in new categories.
