Amazon delivery service suspended in many places! Consumers wait in vain after placing orders

An Amazon spokesperson said that considering the safety of employees, it has decided to reduce delivery tasks in areas with severe air pollution and will provide N-95 masks to every driver. In addition, Amazon delivery employees have been told that if they feel unwell, they can stop delivery work at any time and return to the delivery station.

A Target spokesperson said its contactless pickup service, called Drive Up, may be temporarily closed in areas with poor air quality .

The company said consumers can use their Target app to check in advance whether a nearby pickup location is operating normally, so as to avoid running over to find that the pickup location is closed.

On the other hand, American home furnishing giant Home Depot also announced that it is increasing the supply of air filters, masks, box fans and air purifiers to meet consumers' demand for air purification.

It is understood that schools in many parts of the United States have canceled outdoor activities, companies have allowed employees to work from home, and health officials in dozens of states have urged residents to stay indoors as much as possible.

In recent days, sales of air filters and masks on Amazon have soared. In the past 24 hours, air filters have become the fastest-growing product in Amazon's home category.

According to Google Trends, the number of searches for air purifiers on Google has increased 16 times in the past week. It is unclear when the smoke will dissipate across the United States, as continued strong winds are pushing the smog across the country.

However, although the sales of masks and air purifiers have surged, consumers may have to wait for a while before receiving their air purifiers after placing an order.
