Amazon starts to fight back after "troublemaking" employees were laid off!

Two years after workers at an Amazon warehouse in Alabama fought hard to establish Amazon's first union in the U.S., the leader of the group says she was just fired by Amazon.

It is understood that as early as 2021, Jennifer Bates became the spokesperson for organizing the Amazon union when she testified before the judge and talked about her " exhausting " work experience at the company.

Last Friday, Jennifer said she was told by the company that she was fired just after she returned from sick leave.

"I have supported Amazon for the past three years. I have given my heart and soul to Amazon for the past three years. I have done everything I can to help Amazon for the past three years. And for them to do this to me is unacceptable!"

In response, an Amazon spokesperson said Jennifer Bates can appeal if she is dissatisfied with the decision.

Amazon spokeswoman Mary Kate Paradis said in a statement: "Our records show that Ms. Bates was absent from work for some time during her employment and did not report it to the company or provide documentation to explain her absence. While we work hard to accommodate our team's needs for personal time off, like other employers, we also require employees to comply with our company's policies regarding time off."

Insiders speculated that the dismissal could further escalate tensions between Amazon and its employees.

“It is now clear that Amazon fired one of the most public union leaders of our generation over alleged documentation issues without providing definitive proof,” NLRB Chairman Stuart Appelbaum said in a statement Friday.

Appelbaum accused Amazon of "firing the union leader at this warehouse will not stop the union's progress."

“We will continue to hold Amazon accountable and ensure workers’ voices are heard,” Appelbaum added.

In fact, the conflict between Amazon and its employees has existed for a long time. Both sides are fighting for their own interests, so there is no right or wrong.

However, if the relationship between a company and its employees is in long-term discord, it may also have an adverse impact on the company's long-term development.
