According to feedback from eBay sellers, when they woke up this morning, they found that none of their listings were exposed, but they were still normal yesterday. On Thursday morning, a seller reported this problem on the eBay forum, wondering if his products can now be seen by consumers normally.
Several other sellers have also reported similar issues:
"The number of views is all zero, which is too strange. There must be a bug that caused the platform data to be lost."
"I also encountered this problem. If you click the icon with 0 views, a table will be loaded with the correct data, but sometimes the table will not load. In addition, I can see that my product has been added to the watching list by consumers, but the number of views is 0, which is unscientific." In a thread on the eBay forums, one seller responded that not only had his listing gone back to zero views, but “almost all of my potential buyers have disappeared as well.” But other sellers said they had not experienced this problem.
In another thread, a seller suggested a solution: " Under the ' Sell ' page in the eBay app, even though my product shows zero views, clicking on the icon that brings up the ' Traffic History Icon ' will show the correct data. "
About three hours later, an eBay spokesperson acknowledged the issue, writing: "Our developers are aware of this issue and are currently working to resolve it to minimize its impact."
An hour later, in a subsequent post, another eBay spokesperson said this was a known sitewide issue and that all products on the site could be shown as having zero views, and numbered the issue ALERT14269.
The holiday shopping season is getting closer and closer, and the appearance of such a bug can be said to make sellers sweat. eBay has not yet given the latest response regarding this incident.
Earlier, eBay released a holiday report showing that despite high inflation, American shoppers still plan to spend: more than two-thirds (71%) of the 2,000 American consumers surveyed said they plan to spend the same or more this year than in past years. In addition, 55% of Generation Z consumers said they plan to spend more on holiday shopping and celebrations, while only 39% of Millennial consumers intend to do so. eBay BUG |
