What is KUL? KUL Review, Features

KUL is an affordable e-commerce platform launched by Noon in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. It was officially launched in September 2019 and is now available on the App Store and Google Play. KUL is a full-category e-commerce platform, mainly focusing on electronics and daily household items.

About KUL

KUL is adopting a similar model to Dubai-based e-commerce platform Awok, targeting low- and middle-income people in the UAE and Saudi Arabia with affordable products.

· Noon and KUL are operated by the same team, and their backend systems are unified. The biggest difference is that Noon is positioned as a high-end consumer platform, and the homepage of Noon is full of international brand products, while KUL is positioned as a mid-to-low-end consumer platform, positioned as the "Wish" of the Middle East, and directly competes with Awok and Dealy, which have been operating in the Middle East for a long time. One attracts high-end consumers, and the other gathers mid-to-low-end consumers. The launch of KUL looks more like expanding the consumer group to win more users.

KUL will be fully open to Chinese sellers, and 90% of the goods are produced in China. In order to obtain more low-priced and cost-effective sources of goods, KUL will further deepen its relationship with Chinese sellers.

Entry conditions

1. Applying for a local VAT tax number is the first threshold for cross-border sellers to enter KUL. KUL will open accounts to all sellers with local VAT tax numbers.

2. All Chinese sellers must use Chinese companies to apply for local VAT in UAE and KSA in advance.

Advantages

1. Sellers with local tax numbers will be able to enter both KUL and Noon platforms, share inventory and use the same backend system.

2. KUL will open an account after obtaining a VAT tax number and return the money to the seller through a P card. This method will ensure the security of funds and KUL's compliance, thereby ensuring the stability and security of the account in the long term.

Development History

-In February 2018, the Noon platform purchased the Kul.com domain name for $38,000, directly competing with Awok and Dealy, owned by Jollychic.

-In September 2019, Noon officially launched the KUL affordable e-commerce platform.
