Another baby product on Amazon has been recalled, involving Chinese sellers!

Recently, the Canadian Ministry of Health announced the recall of infant playpen products sold on Amazon Canada's platform . The reason for the recall is that the product may cause pinching injuries to infants and toddlers, and there is also a risk of fire .

It is understood that the recalled products were sold on Amazon Canada from April 2021 to February 2022 , with the ASIN number B07SL36TZD and model SQ01.

Health Canada's sampling and assessment has determined that the playpens do not comply with the Playpens Regulations . The recalled playpens are made of stainless steel with a red fabric cover and black mesh. The black mesh portion of the fabric cover is a flammable risk . In addition, the top corners of the playpens could allow a child's head to pass through, potentially causing a pinching injury to an infant .

As of April 9, 2022, Health Canada has not received any reports of accidents or injuries caused by this product . However , the product is currently banned from sale in Canada . Consumers who have purchased this product must stop using it immediately and can contact the retailer to request a new product.

Although no related accidents or injuries have occurred, the large-scale recall to prevent any possible consequences also reminds all sellers that Canadians attach great importance to product safety.

It is worth noting that this product is produced in China and the label shows “Made in China” .
