According to AfterPay Insights survey data , compared with February, consumer demand in Germany, the Netherlands and Norway has changed slightly, but fashion products will still receive the highest attention from consumers in these three countries! When predicting popular product categories, the UK is different. The most obvious change in its market is the shift of consumer behavior from offline to online .
Fashion, health and supplements are once again the most popular categories in Germany , the Netherlands and Norway
The survey shows that fashion will be the category with the largest growth both offline and online. Apart from this, there is not much movement in the Dutch market.
Fashion products are still the most popular in Germany in March . Fashion is expected to grow, with about 50% of the growth occurring online and 50% expected to grow offline. When combining consumers' online and offline purchase plans, the total purchase volume of media and entertainment, food and health products, and pets in this market is also expected to grow.
When it comes to the most in- demand product categories, Norway is on par with the Netherlands and Germany. In February, 23% of Norwegian online shoppers made at least one online purchase in the fashion category. And in March, the fashion category is expected to see the biggest growth in the online market .
Media and entertainment categories in the UK dominated overall purchases in March ( but the main market was in physical stores ) , while consumer demand for food and grocery products showed a continued shift from offline to online purchases .
Data shows that the demand for food and groceries in the UK online market is growing , or at least continues to shift from visiting physical stores to buying online. In addition to food and groceries, fashion has always had a high share of online shopping.
