Home furnishings consumers prefer Etsy

According to foreign media reports, consumers may prefer Etsy rather than Amazon when purchasing home products.

 

According to Insider , unlike other e-commerce websites such as Amazon, the interface layout of the Etsy platform highlights the designers of the products . This layout allows consumers to better understand the designers and production process of the products, and to be more assured of the quality of the products.

 

One consumer said that despite the longer delivery times, after purchasing from Etsy once, Etsy quickly became his first choice for vintage and personalized products . " If I have any questions, I can also contact the store directly and get a response immediately. "

 

In addition, the consumer also compared the shopping experience of Amazon and Etsy platforms: Amazon's delivery speed is fast, but the product quality is worrying. On Etsy , he can find home decorations that suit his style and support his favorite artists.

 

Etsy describes itself as "a global online marketplace where people come together to make, sell, buy and collect unique items," focusing on "creativity , " buyers and sellers. In terms of product categories, the company focuses on vintage and handmade items. Home & Living and Art & Collectibles are said to be the site's two most popular categories.

"It shows that people have had to turn to Etsy over the past year, and as we've grown , they've chosen to return more often, which frankly we think is pretty remarkable, " said Etsy CEO Josh   Silverman said in November .

 

Despite Amazon's market dominance, the tech giant hasn't gained an edge in the home improvement category, which may be one of the few product categories where shoppers would rather sacrifice shipping speed than product quality , according to Investor .
