TikTok's consumer spending reached $824.4 million in the fourth quarter of 2021, more than double the $382.4 million in the same period of 2020. Although China remains TikTok's largest consumer market, the consumption potential of TikTok users around the world cannot be underestimated.
According to the report, the United States remains TikTok's second largest source of revenue. In the fourth quarter of 2021, American users spent nearly $110 million on the app, accounting for 13% of global revenue. This is five percentage points higher than the fourth quarter of 2020.
It is worth noting that TikTok's installation volume declined in 2021, to about 740 million times. This is a 25% decrease from 980.7 million times in 2020. A lot of this is due to India's boycott of TikTok's entry into the market in mid-2020.
