What is Gmail? Gmail Review, Features

Google Mail is an intuitive, efficient and practical email application. It provides 15GB of free storage, less spam, and supports mobile access.

About Google Mail

Gmail is Google's free webmail service. It comes with built-in Google search technology and over 15GB of storage. You can keep important emails, files and pictures forever, use search to quickly and easily find anything you need, and make this new way of viewing emails as part of a conversation even more natural.

Google Mail Features

1. Free: Users can create a Gmail account for free.

2. Huge storage space: Each Gmail account provides 15GB of free storage space, which is enough to store a large number of emails and attachments.

3. Smart filtering: Gmail uses smart filters to automatically classify spam into the trash and put important emails into the inbox.

4. Quick search: Users can search email content by keywords, and Gmail will quickly find and display related emails.

5. Mobile Application: Gmail has iOS and Android applications, so users can use it conveniently on their mobile phones.

6. Integration with other Google services: Gmail can be seamlessly integrated with other Google services (such as Google Calendar, Google Docs, etc.), allowing users to easily switch between different Google applications.

7. Prevent leakage: Gmail provides a function to prevent accidental sending of emails. Users can set delayed sending or recall emails.

Google Mail software impact

Gmail had a huge storage space when it was first launched. The emergence of Gmail forced both free and paid email service providers to increase their letter capacity. For example, shortly after Gmail was launched, a website called Spymac also announced that it would provide 1GB email service.

At the end of 2004, Microsoft increased the mailbox capacity of Hotmail's free users in the United States to 250MB, and the mailbox capacity of paid users to 2GB, but the capacity of Hotmail in other countries and regions did not increase accordingly. However, since some international students found that they could enjoy a larger mailbox earlier by changing their address, others followed suit. This troubled Microsoft, and as a result, it opened the service earlier.
