Shopee steps up recruitment efforts in South Korea

According to foreign media reports, the e-commerce platform Shopee is currently recruiting about 40 employees in South Korea. It is understood that most of the positions are for cross-border positions to support Korean sellers to enter the market where Shopee already exists.

While Shopee has been operating in South Korea for a long time , it does not have a consumer-facing business in the country , and its Korean website is specifically designed to help sellers sell in Shopee's market.

Shopee is trying to attract as many sellers as possible by actively courting Korean sellers . A more diverse selection helps provide a better shopping experience, thereby attracting more users, more traffic, and more sellers .

It’s worth noting that a Shopee job posting also includes a position for a “human resources administrator for the Korean and Japanese markets,” suggesting the company is also eyeing another country.

After becoming the e-commerce leader in Southeast Asia, Shopee is clearly not satisfied and its pace of globalization has accelerated rapidly . In recent years , Shopee 's expansion speed has been witnessed by all.

At the end of August last year , Shopee quietly started its business in India. In a video released by the company, it announced that "Shopee is coming to India" and also recruited merchants in India to attract sellers to join the platform. At the same time, Shopee also promised to provide sellers and buyers with free logistics and zero commission and other preferential measures.

In addition, Shopee has also extended its tentacles to Europe. In recent years, Shopee has developed rapidly and has successively opened up the markets in Poland, Spain and France.

Not only that, Shopee has been launched in Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Colombia , Argentina and other countries. Argentina is its latest expansion in the market , which was launched in January this year .

For its launch in Argentina, Shopee has launched a number of preferential services for sellers , including : sellers will be able to enjoy zero commission and free delivery services ; sellers will also be able to provide 6 interest-free installments for all their products for free ; Shopee will also insure each transaction until the buyer confirms receipt of the goods ; in addition, buyers will be able to track the delivery status of each order at any time.

It is not difficult to see from these actions that Shopee’s e-commerce pie has been getting bigger and bigger.
