China has a "zero tolerance" attitude towards gambling, including the import and export of gambling supplies such as chips , and will impose severe penalties once discovered. Despite this, there are still many sellers who will take risks and import and export gambling chips.
On December 13, it was reported that Shenzhen Customs announced that Shenzhen Post Office Customs seized a batch of gambling chips when it recently inspected a batch of cross-border e-commerce export goods.
It is understood that this batch of cross-border e-commerce export goods was declared as "stickers". When the Shenzhen Post Office Customs inspected them, they found that the actual goods were gambling chips. The face values of this batch of gambling chips are 500, 5000, 25000, 100000, etc. , with a total of 17,925 chips divided into 18 boxes of goods, with a face value of about 92.81 million.
At present, the case has been transferred to the customs disposal department for handling.
According to the "List of Articles Prohibited from Entering and Leaving the Country of the People's Republic of China " , gambling chips belong to the "other articles" listed in the "List of Articles Prohibited from Entering and Leaving the Country of the People's Republic of China " as "printed materials, films, photos, records, films, audio tapes, video tapes, laser discs, computer storage media and other articles that are harmful to China's politics, economy, culture and morality". Therefore, they are not allowed to be imported or exported.
If relevant regulations are violated or smuggling violations are committed , they will be dealt with in accordance with relevant laws and administrative regulations such as the Customs Law of the People's Republic of China and the Implementation Rules of Administrative Penalties of the Customs Law of the People's Republic of China; if a crime is constituted, criminal liability will be pursued in accordance with the law.
Although there are relevant legal constraints, cases such as false reporting and concealment of information and export of gambling chips are still emerging one after another.
On November 1, Shenzhen Customs seized 3,478 undeclared gambling chips in cross-border e-commerce export channels, with a face value of about 175 million yuan. The company declared to the customs that it was exporting clothing, washing machines and other goods. During the inspection, the customs officers found that the image did not match the declared object, indicating that there was false reporting, and then opened the box for inspection.
According to the experience of many sellers, the inspection rate of electronic products, toys and other products is relatively high. Especially at the end of the year, when it is the peak shopping season abroad, customs will be more strict.
Therefore, the editor still wants to remind all sellers that no matter when, they must not conceal the export declaration, and do not have a fluke mentality. Once caught, it will be more trouble than gain. And they must abide by relevant laws and regulations, do not sell or buy gambling tools such as chips, and eliminate and prevent cross-border gambling from the source. customs Gambling chips |
