Buyers get free stuff through AZ policy? Sellers are suffering

Amazon has never been a stagnant platform. Strange things happen every day, and the grievances between buyers and sellers on the platform are constantly unfolding. When browsing the seller forum of the UK site, the editor found that a seller complained that he was "taken advantage of" by a buyer .

The seller said that the customer submitted an application through the AZ policy on the grounds that the package was not received , and Amazon actually agreed to the buyer's refund application of 107 pounds. But the actual situation is that as early as a month ago, the buyer and the seller had contacted each other and the buyer clearly stated that he had received the package.

The seller said that if it was a small item worth 10 or 20 yuan, it would be fine, but this was more than 100 pounds of building materials. What's even more infuriating is that after receiving the refund, the seller actually bought the same item again, and he seriously suspected that the buyer was taking advantage of Amazon's policy.

In this regard, many sellers in the comment section felt the same way and left suggestions for the poster and complaints about the Amazon platform.

Seller A: I am really angry! The buyer has clearly stated that he received the package, and there are photos as evidence, but Amazon insists on only using the signature as evidence of the package receipt. Don’t they know that signatures are easy to forge?

Seller B: Amazon really needs to reconsider its signature policy. In the short term, it is not realistic to ask couriers and Royal Mail to reinstate signatures. In the future, it is very likely that photos and locations will be used as evidence that the package has been signed for.

Seller C: I haven't signed for two years. We send products to Amazon FBA every day, but Amazon has never signed. You can submit a SAFE-T claim application. If you have sufficient evidence, you can receive compensation.

In addition to the "rigid" policy of Amazon that only recognizes signatures , many sellers also suggested that the poster seek help from the police, but this is not easy to achieve. Some more sensitive sellers mentioned that if your gross profit can no longer offset the fraud costs you may encounter on the platform, you should consider changing platforms.

In fact, there are many similar cases on the Amazon platform, but because Amazon pays more attention to the buyer's shopping experience, sellers are often the ones who suffer. The editor can only remind all seller friends to study the platform policies and do more case analysis during the operation process to avoid being taken advantage of for no reason.
