Another children's product incident, nearly 10,000 pieces of children's clothing have been recalled!

Once again , there is an incident involving a children's product...

Recently, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall of two children's clothing items, with recall numbers 22-709 and 22-710. The reason for the recall is that the snaps on these two items of clothing may fall off, posing a choking risk to young children.

According to information provided by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the two recalls involve products from the same brand, Hannah Anderson. One is a toddler long-sleeved suit and the other is a toddler ruffled jumpsuit. They were manufactured in Bangladesh and were previously sold exclusively on the Hannah Anderson website.

These two toddler clothing products are priced between $40 and $46, and nearly 10,000 pieces were sold on the Hannah Anderson website between July and October 2021. So far, Hannah Anderson has received four reports of snaps falling off or the fabric around the snaps tearing, and no children have been injured.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said that consumers should immediately stop letting their children wear these recalled clothing products and contact Hannah Anderson to return the products for a full refund. Hannah Anderson will bear the postage incurred by consumers for returning the products.

Children's products have always been the hardest hit by safety issues. Less than halfway through November, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has already issued four recall notices for children's products. Children are a vulnerable group, and once there is a problem with the products they use, the consequences are still quite serious.

After reviewing previous recall notices for children's products, the editor found that choking risk accounted for the largest proportion of the reasons for recalls of children's products. Children lack certain identification abilities and are easily choked by swallowing small parts. Buttons on clothes and small parts on toys that are easy to fall off all pose certain risks to them. The other reasons for recalls are mostly concentrated on the risk of falling and excessive levels of certain chemical substances in the products. Sellers of children's products can pay more attention to these aspects when producing.

Once a product is recalled, the seller’s business activities will also be greatly affected. Safety is no small matter. Sellers in any industry must strictly control the quality of their products to ensure the personal and property safety of consumers.
