Amazon launches new tool - Fulfillment Insights Dashboard

Earlier, some sellers reported that Amazon could not use USPS for delivery. After understanding, the editor found that there were two reasons. First, USPS announced in early October that it would start to postpone first-class delivery, so Amazon did not believe that USPS First Class would deliver on time; second, with the arrival of the peak season, the pressure on logistics and transportation increased, and Amazon closed some logistics options to prevent delivery delays.

 

Some Amazon sellers pointed out that Amazon will only allow sellers to use USPS to ship items if they ensure that there is a longer time to ship the items and that USPS will be able to deliver them in time. Sellers then solved this problem by changing the default processing time in the listing, but some sellers are still confused. In response, Amazon launched a new tool - the fulfillment insights dashboard to help sellers solve the delivery time problem.

 

Recently, seller Papyrophilia said that she received an official email from Amazon, which mentioned that Amazon will launch a new tool for sellers - MFN Fulfillment Insight Dashboard.

Amazon said that through investigation, it was found that the processing time and shipping time set by US sellers are 45% longer than the actual time required . This common phenomenon causes buyers to see that the delivery time of the goods is too long, making it difficult to attract buyers. Amazon will launch the MFN fulfillment insights dashboard function for sellers. This tool can show the seller's delivery time difference and provide suggestions to help sellers set more accurate processing and shipping times.

Amazon points out that the first step to eliminating delivery time differences is to understand the reasons. The fulfillment insights dashboard can guide sellers to better understand whether they have overestimated shipping and handling times, and provides some delivery time suggestions. The steps to use this tool are as follows:

 

1. Visit the Fulfillment Insights Dashboard

 

2. Check the delivery time difference (processing time interval + transportation time interval)

 

3. Read tips and tools to close the delivery time gap

 

While sellers are trying out this new tool, they are also expressing concerns.

 

Seller A: If you use the tool but the carrier fails to deliver the goods as promised, will Amazon penalize you?

 

Seller B: Each seller should save their own setup time and delivery results and publish the data statistics in February next year, which should prove whether the tool is actually effective.

 

Seller C: Sellers should not rely too much on this tool and should set a buffer time for their products to deal with unexpected situations that may go wrong, such as weather problems, carrier problems, and personal emergencies.

 

Amazon launched the fulfillment insights dashboard to help sellers plan delivery times reasonably. However, the calculation of the tool is fixed after all. Sellers must combine their personal circumstances in actual use to avoid problems.
