It is reported that in the first nine months of 2021, the Russian Post's revenue from the delivery of imported goods increased by 20.4% year-on-year to 22.5 billion rubles. The delivery revenue of EMS items, parcels and small parcels increased by 20.3%. The transaction volume of letters and parcels business increased by 35.5% compared with the same period last year .
At the same time, consignment consolidation has become a new trend in shipping , and more and more companies are starting to send parcels in batches. The average weight of parcels has also increased. According to Russian Post, the average weight of EMS items, parcels and small parcels has increased by 42% , and the average weight of letter parcels has increased by 8.9%.
In the first nine months of 2021 , the postal and logistics service revenue of RusPost GmbH (SDO) , a subsidiary of Russian Post in Germany , increased by 61.4% compared with the same period last year to 12.2 billion rubles, or about 137.4 million euros ; the operating income of its subsidiary in Shenzhen, China, increased by 32.3% compared with the same period last year to 4.2 billion rubles, or about 363.1 million yuan .
In terms of parcel handling volume, in the first nine months of 2021, German subsidiaries and associated companies handled more than 3.26 million parcels, an increase of 77% compared with the same period in 2020 and an increase of 18% compared with the whole year of 2020. By the end of 2020, a total of 2.77 million parcels were handled through RusPost GmbH (SDO) subsidiaries , and the revenue of postal and logistics business was 11.7 billion rubles.
George Alikoshver , deputy general manager of international business of Russian Post , said: "Russian Post is an international logistics operator. In addition to providing customs brokerage services to Russia, our foreign offices and warehouse infrastructure also enable us to create and provide end-to-end logistics delivery solutions for our customers . "
