Is the epidemic in Europe rebounding? Can the peak season really be "busy"?

Throughout this year, due to the epidemic in some parts of the world, production stagnation and supply chain shortages, sea transportation from Asia to Europe and the United States has continued to be under pressure. Even though it is the peak shopping season, many people in Europe and the United States are still facing commodity shortages.

Recently, the epidemic situation in some European countries has shown a rebound trend. The number of newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 has soared in countries such as Germany, Britain, Russia and Belgium, putting Europe into the "epicenter" of the COVID-19 epidemic again .

According to CCTV Finance, data released by European countries on the 4th showed that the number of new confirmed cases in Germany was close to 34,000, setting a new high since the outbreak of the epidemic in the country.

The UK has had more than 200 new cases of COVID-19 for three consecutive days recently ; Belgium also reported that the number of hospitalized cases and critically ill patients in the past 10 days have been close to the highest level since the outbreak.

Many European countries were already experiencing material shortages due to port congestion and supply chain shortages, affecting domestic consumption and shopping during the peak season. Now that the epidemic has shown a rebound trend, this year's peak shopping season faces more problems.

A spokesperson for the World Health Organization's European Regional Office said that the number of newly confirmed cases reported in Europe has increased by more than 55% in the past four weeks . According to relevant statistics from the WHO, only 47% of people in Europe are fully vaccinated, and the vaccination rate in two countries is less than 10%.

Previously, the UK lost many employees due to Brexit, causing many links such as production, packaging, and transportation to come to a standstill. Shopping mall shelves were empty, and even cardboard boxes replaced goods in major shopping malls.

It is not known whether European countries will take strict prevention and control measures for this epidemic. At that time, sellers on European sites will have to pay attention to the dynamic changes in the target market, what products people will demand in the epidemic environment, grasp market trends, master traffic codes, keep up with the pace of the market, and strive to place more orders.
