What is MuCharm? MuCharm Review, Features

MuCharm is a cross-border e-commerce app under Adways, focusing on furniture and lifestyle products. It was launched in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait and other countries on December 8, 2017.

 

Parent Company Introduction

Mucharm's parent company is Adways Group, which was founded in 2001 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. It operates Japan's largest advertising alliance services "JANet" and "Smart-C", and provides advertising services for smartphones "AppDriver" and a global smartphone App advertising effect monitoring system "PartyTrack". In addition, it also has many businesses such as App content planning, development, and operation. Overseas bases are distributed in more than 10 countries and regions including Asia and North America. The Chinese subsidiary has been engaged in Internet advertising business, e-commerce, Internet marketing, and mobile advertising business since 2004, based on the advertising alliance "CHANet Achievement Network" covering the whole of China, and provides integrated marketing and promotion services such as cross-border e-commerce, search engines, social marketing, and mobile marketing.

About the Team

MuCharm was incubated by Japanese mobile Internet company Adways in 2017. Most of its founding team members are employees with many years of work experience in Adways. CEO YOSHIKAZU joined Adways Group in 2006 and served as the group's chief strategy officer and general manager of overseas business. COO Tian Jialei joined Adways in 2013 and has been engaged in logistics for 7 years.

Features

1. Own inventory

Just like JD.com to Taobao in its early days, owning one's own inventory brings faster delivery speeds and higher service quality assurance, but at the same time it is also accompanied by greater inventory pressure.

2. Streamline SKUs

MuCharm only sells popular products and reduces inventory backlogs by improving inventory turnover. The durable properties of daily necessities, textiles and other products also alleviate the pressure of selling inventory to a certain extent.

3. Logistics network

MuCharm adopts the model of 1 main warehouse + 1 regional warehouse. The regional warehouse located in Saudi Arabia covers 6 countries in the Middle East and mainly stores popular products that have been repeatedly verified by the local market. The domestic main warehouse mainly replenishes the regional warehouse and is used to store new products and other products whose market demand is still unclear.

4. Marketing model

Online promotion is the most commonly used method for MuCharm. In Saudi Arabia, Snapchat and Instagram are the two most commonly used social software. Although messages posted on Snapchat will expire after 24 hours, the click-through rate of messages posted on Snapchat is surprisingly high due to the psychological characteristic of "if you don't click on it in time, you will miss it".

5. Policy level

Saudi Arabia introduced a new e-commerce law in July this year. Among them, the formulation of transaction norms and the implementation of consumer information protection are all favorable factors for the standardization of the local e-commerce environment.
