An anonymous infringement case has surfaced, and some sellers have had their accounts frozen

According to the content of the notice, the account was frozen because the seller violated Hollywood 's copyright, patent, trademark and other related rights.

The case number is 21-cv-5172 and is represented by AMS Law Firm. At the end of September, many websites had already published this information, but the specific brand was not known at the time. It was not until recently that a seller received a freeze notice that the brand in the case was informed.

One seller reported that he might have been frozen because of selling the movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood .

Speaking of Hollywood, I believe everyone is familiar with it. Hollywood was first discovered by photographers when they were looking for locations. Around the beginning of the 20th century, it attracted many photographers, and then some independent producers flocked here, gradually forming a film center.

Fox, Time Warner, Universal Pictures, Disney, etc., which we often hear about, are all famous Hollywood film companies. These companies produce a large number of films. According to the data of the UNESCO Institute for Statistics (UIS), Hollywood releases more than 700 English films a year, including many well-known and well-known films, in addition to the above-mentioned "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood", there are also "Forrest Gump", "Titanic", "Harry Potter", etc.

According to statistics, the annual box office revenue of Hollywood movies is about 10 billion US dollars. In addition, the derivative products brought by the movies, including toys, clothing, accessories, audio and video, books, daily necessities, etc., make Hollywood's total revenue several times higher than the box office revenue.

Since Hollywood movies have a huge influence, many sellers will sell related derivatives. When I searched for "Hollywood" on Amazon US alone , 30,000 search results appeared. However, as mentioned above, Hollywood has already taken some actions, so sellers are advised to check whether their products involve infringement.

Currently, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has the following registered trademarks. The most easily used is the word mark Hollywood , which covers many major categories.

In addition, everyone has to pay attention to copyright issues. A while ago, an American couple was sentenced to up to five years in prison for selling counterfeit Disney DVDs on eBay.
