Nearly 90% of Poles will shop on Black Friday, Amazon accelerates its expansion in Poland

Amazon Poland officially launched its site in March this year . A few months later, the site launched its Prime service, which provides free shipping and video streaming services. According to Reuters, Amazon's Prime service in Poland is priced at 49 zlotys (about $12.35) per year.

 

After the news of Amazon's layout in Poland came out, many sellers also began to pay attention to Poland. The editor learned that Poland's GDP in 2020 reached 594.165 billion US dollars, ranking ninth in the European GDP list. Some analysts said that Poland has strong online consumption capacity, and the total online consumption in 2021 is expected to reach 13.55 billion US dollars. In daily life, Poles do not have the habit of saving money, they are more inclined to spend ahead of time, which is very beneficial to the development of the Polish market.

 

What is the attitude of the Poles towards the upcoming Black Friday shopping festival?

 

Recently, Ofertolino, a promotional magazine platform, conducted a survey of 272 Polish consumers aged 18-65 and found that as many as 87% of Polish consumers plan to shop during the Black Friday promotion.

 

The survey results show that the categories that most Polish consumers intend to buy are clothing, footwear and sports equipment ( 73%), followed by cosmetics (36%), household appliances (36%), pet products (nearly 25%), children's products (24%), home and garden products (23%), and books and board games (10%).

 

When it comes to finding product channels, more than 49% of consumers will use social platforms such as Facebook and Instagram to find discounted products; 32% of consumers will go to the brand's official website to obtain relevant information; and more than 36% of consumers will choose to watch TV commercials.

 

Among consumers who plan to shop during Black Friday, the largest proportion of those planning to shop online is about 40%. In addition, 34% of consumers said they will go to physical stores, while 26% of consumers said they may do both.

 

As for how much it will cost, 28% of respondents said they have not yet decided; 20% said it would be less than 250 zlotys; 16% said it would be between 250-300 zlotys; 8% chose between 300-700 zlotys; and 4% said it would cost 700-1000 zlotys.
