Anyone want to delete a bad review on Amazon? Don’t do this

Amazon sellers all know the power of negative reviews, and have experienced the bitterness and helplessness of receiving negative reviews from buyers. Today, when I was browsing the Amazon UK forum, I met such a seller who had no words to express his grievances.

According to Sandy, he recently received a bad review from a VP buyer named Louise. But strangely, he has not received any orders from Louise in the past 90 days, and he has only refunded money to a buyer named Louise before.

Sandy mentioned that he did not see this negative review in the Feedback Center. It should be that there was a problem during the delivery process, which caused the liquid product he sold to leak. He needed to contact the buyer and ask her to delete the negative review.

In this regard, a careful netizen pointed out that Sandy confused the concepts of review (user evaluation) and feedback (user feedback), and pointed out that sellers cannot deal with reviews, but can respond to buyers' feedback. At the same time, it was also reminded that reviews will not appear in the feedback center, and feedback will not be displayed in the form of reviews.

At the same time, people expressed different opinions on Sandy's experience of receiving bad reviews. Some people said that sometimes the VP buyer's name displayed in the review area has nothing to do with the real name of the orderer, and the buyer can choose any name to leave a review.

Someone also asked Sandy, "Are you sure this is a VP purchase?" and said that he had never sold anything that received a bad review. People do not need to buy products on Amazon to leave reviews, and it may be a negative review left by a competing seller.

In addition to the above points, the most common thing I saw was other users advising Sandy not to try to get the buyer Louise to delete the negative review. One user replied to Sandy, "I hope you didn't mention deleting the negative review when you contacted the buyer, otherwise Amazon will probably determine that you are manipulating the reviews and ban your account."

In fact, I believe that many platform sellers can relate to this. For e-commerce practitioners, they face a variety of customers, and it is impossible for the products they sell to satisfy everyone. Moreover, there are uncertainties in logistics and other aspects. Any problem in one link may lead to buyers leaving bad reviews.

When negative reviews appear, sellers must not manipulate reviews by violating platform regulations. Everyone has heard about the account suspension incident a while ago. Once an account has problems due to this, the gains will outweigh the losses.

The editor also reminds all sellers to abide by the platform regulations and operate carefully. Starting from the bad reviews, improve the store operation, and improve the shortcomings, I believe the store will get better and better.
