According to foreign media reports, Google is planning to add new features to make it easier for consumers to shop through its platform.
On the Google app for iOS users , users will see a new button that will use Google Lens to identify images on the website and make them instantly "shoppable ." This means that if users see a photo of a product they like while browsing the website , they can click on it and see where to buy the related product.
Google said Google Lens will also be available in the Chrome browser on PC , allowing users to select images, videos and text content on websites with Lens and see search results.
In addition, Google is making it easier for consumers to browse clothing, shoes and accessories directly from search results on mobile devices. For example, when a customer searches for the term "cropped jacket," Google will display jackets in a variety of colors and styles, as well as other relevant information such as local stores, style guides and videos.
From there, customers can filter their search results by categories such as style, type and brand . If consumers find something they like, they can also rate and review it, and compare prices. The new feature is powered by Google's Shopping Graph, a real-time database of products, inventory and merchants containing more than 24 billion listings .
Over the past year, Google has been optimizing the shopping features and experience on its platform .
In July 2021, the company began showing deals directly on its Shopping tab . Starting in October 2021, consumers shopping on Google Search will be able to browse and discover top deals for major retail sales events like Black Friday and Cyber Monday. When shoppers search for deals for a specific event like "Black Friday deals" or "Cyber Monday deals," they'll see a window showing relevant deals and other relevant sales information .
Additionally, in 2020, retailers will be able to sell on Google for free . Now, promotions and offers uploaded in Merchant Center will automatically appear on the Shopping tab for deal-seeking shoppers, regardless of whether the merchant advertises on Google .
“People shop on Google more than a billion times a day, and we’re always working to make those experiences more useful by expanding choice for users ,” Bill Ready, president of commerce, payments and users at Google, said in a corporate blog post . “We’re here to help users find new ideas, discover unique products, or get the best value from the widest range of merchants possible. ” E-commerce Shopping |
