Recently, many sellers have begun to clear out redundant inventory through price reduction promotions, off-site distribution, etc., to free up more storage space for new products.
September is a critical month for sellers to prepare for the year-end shopping season. Based on past experience, starting from September, major logistics companies will start to increase their prices, and they may continue to increase, and will not fall back until December. Therefore, now is the time when logistics prices are the cheapest. In addition, considering factors such as transportation and publicity, sellers who ship now will have enough time to build momentum for new products before the peak season arrives.
However, the way the magical September opened was destined to be extraordinary. A large number of sellers' inventory capacity shrank significantly, and some sellers' inventory capacity even dropped by 80,000. Even worse, some sellers were directly suspended from shipping.
Recently, a seller complained that he was banned from shipping by Amazon because he deleted a shipment. Upon closer inspection, it was found that the seller deleted the shipment without sending all the shipments from the warehouse.
Many sellers are troubled by Amazon's automatic warehouse distribution function, because it will increase FBA's first-mile fees and inventory management difficulties. As the saying goes, every good plan has its own countermeasure. In order to solve this problem, many sellers have also used their own "little ideas". Some sellers will only ship to one warehouse after Amazon's automatic warehouse distribution is completed. For the remaining warehouses, some sellers will ignore them or delete them like the sellers mentioned above. In fact, such operations are risky and will affect the performance of warehousing; in serious cases, shipment will be prohibited.
As early as 2018, Amazon issued a new policy notice, the original text is as follows:
Starting August 31, 2018, you will need to send the specified quantity of each product in your approved shipping plan to the warehouse designated by Amazon. Amazon will notify you when we observe behavior that does not comply with this policy (for example, canceling parts of a multi-destination shipping plan after you approve it, misrouting shipments, or sending incomplete shipments). If we find that you continue to fail to comply with this policy, we may suspend your ability to ship to us.
It should be noted that if you want to change the shipping plan after approval, the seller must delete the entire shipping plan before starting the next step.
The year-end peak season is approaching, and sellers must be extremely alert and carefully control every step to avoid problems in sales operations due to minor mistakes. Amazon Shipping |
