Maximum subsidy of 10 million yuan! Foshan announces cross-border e-commerce support policy

Maximum subsidy of 10 million yuan! Foshan announces cross-border e-commerce support policy

Some time ago, the news that Shenzhen would provide 2 million RMB in subsidies to independent website sellers spread throughout the cross-border circle. Recently, Foshan also announced relevant policies to support cross-border e-commerce.

Recently, the Foshan Municipal Bureau of Commerce issued the "Several Measures for Promoting High-quality Development of Foreign Trade in Foshan (Draft for Comments)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Measures"). It clearly stated that it is necessary to support the construction of supporting facilities for cross-border e-commerce, increase the introduction and cultivation of cross-border e-commerce enterprises, optimize the development environment of cross-border e-commerce, and enhance the risk resistance of foreign trade enterprises. The "Measures" mentioned that cross-border e-commerce platform enterprises that are focused on cultivating will receive support of no less than 10 million yuan.

The editor has sorted out the content of cross-border exports that everyone is more concerned about, mainly the following points:

1. Foshan will support the logistics costs of enterprises exporting through market procurement. Among them, for containers exported by sea or land, support will be provided according to the value of each container, with a maximum support of 1,500 yuan per container ; for goods exported by air, support will be provided according to the value of each ton of goods, with a maximum support of 1,500 yuan per ton of goods .

2. Encourage the development of online service platforms. For cross-border e-commerce public service or comprehensive service platforms that served 100, 200, or 300 companies conducting cross-border e-commerce business in the previous year, and whose transaction volumes are included in Foshan's cross-border e-commerce data statistics, the platforms will be given support of up to 250,000 yuan, 500,000 yuan, or 1 million yuan respectively.

3. Increase the efforts to introduce and cultivate cross-border e-commerce enterprises. Based on the data of the Comprehensive Service Platform of the China (Foshan) Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone, eligible cross-border e-commerce enterprises will be supported with cross-border e-commerce business service fees at the rate of 2 cents per 1 U.S. dollar; for key cross-border e-commerce platform enterprises, no less than 10 million yuan of support will be provided during the validity period of this measure (until the end of 2023).

4. Enhance the risk resistance of foreign trade enterprises and support enterprises to purchase export credit insurance. Strengthen the response to trade frictions, guide enterprises and industry associations to effectively respond to trade frictions, and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of export enterprises. Support enterprises participating in research on responses to international trade frictions, up to 100% of the actual expenses incurred in participating projects.

Judging from the relevant policies recently issued by Shenzhen and Foshan, the government has been encouraging the development of independent websites and local cross-border e-commerce platforms, hoping to reduce dependence on foreign e-commerce platforms. After all, on other people's platforms, sellers are always in a "people under the eaves" position. No matter what policies the platform introduces, sellers can only accept it.

There are corresponding support policies for the difficulties encountered by sellers during the export process, such as rising logistics costs, difficulty in insurance and rights protection. This is indeed good news for cross-border sellers.
