With a year-on-year growth of 24.2%, Russian e-commerce platform Lamoda cannot be underestimated

Lamoda was founded in 2010. It is a Russian e-commerce platform that focuses on fashion categories such as clothing, shoes, and cosmetics. It is also very representative among many Russian e-commerce platforms, and its business scope mainly covers Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and other regions.

 

In terms of platform users, the number of active users reached 3.5 million, a year-on-year increase of 3.4%. At the same time, the frequency of orders has also increased significantly, with the frequency of orders in June 2021 increasing by 14% year-on-year.

 

In terms of categories, sales of high-end brands, beauty, sports and baby products have increased significantly, among which the demand for sports shoes and sports T-shirts has remained at a high level. For consumers, these sportswear are not only a kind of sportswear, but also a must-have for daily home life.

 

Among cosmetics, the highest growth was in body care and hair products , which increased by 53% and 45% respectively. In addition, traditional summer products are also in a state of obvious growth, such as the net sales of headwear increased by 54% over last year, swimwear increased by 52% , and sandals increased by 37% .

 

In order to increase platform traffic, Lamoda continues to optimize customer experience. The " Lamoda Stylist " service provides consumers with professional wardrobe services inspired by fashion images.

 

Moreover, Lamoda is also constantly expanding its cooperative brands. The net turnover of the marketing department increased by 44.4%. In the first half of the year, about 400 new brands entered the Lamoda platform. For example, representative brands such as Billionaire and Pierre Hardy, key brands in various fields have joined the Lamoda market. Currently, there are more than 4,000 local and international fashion brands on Lamoda, and the product scale is about 10 million.

 

In the context of this rapid growth, Lamoda has also opened two new transit warehouses and more than 50 pickup points to strengthen the construction of logistics infrastructure. About 90% of orders are carried out through Lamoda's logistics, covering more than 150 cities in Russia.

 

It is reported that Russia's e-commerce revenue in the first half of the year has reached 670 million US dollars. The relatively underdeveloped e-commerce market also has potential. Sellers heading to Russia can also focus on local e-commerce platforms.
