2. TikTok



TikTok has never concealed its ambition to develop social commerce capabilities. Last October , TikTok revealed a global partnership with Shopify, an independent website building platform , which will enable more than 1 million Shopify merchants to quickly promote through TikTok .

 

Tik Tok showcased its innovative feature " TikTok Shop Seller University " in February this year . Now, this feature is also available on the Screenshop app .

 

In March this year , Snap also acquired the German company Fit Anaytics. Fit Analytics is a data collection and analysis company. Its main product Fitfinder provides customized recommendations to customers through algorithm analysis .

 

“Our primary focus going forward will be scaling the Fit Analytics commerce business and working with Snap to leverage our technology and expertise to grow their shopping platform,” Fit Analytics said in a statement about the acquisition.

 

Summary: As the leading social media platforms gradually exit the market , social commerce is rapidly becoming an important sales channel for independent website sellers . In the information age, the role of social media in attracting traffic to independent websites is obvious, and the Chinese fast fashion brand Shein is a vivid example.
