Amazon issued another announcement that sellers who do not use the specified payment service providers will not get paid!

Previously, the Payment Service Provider Program ” set off a wave in the cross-border circle as soon as it was launched, which had a significant impact on payment service providers and sellers. After that, Amazon also repeatedly reminded sellers in announcements to choose safe and reliable payment service providers.

Recently, Amazon issued an announcement announcing updates to the “Payment Provider Program” .

Amazon said that starting July 15, 2021, it will stop paying sellers who use payment providers that are not participating in the program. If sellers currently use payment providers or deposit bank accounts (traditional bank accounts) that have participated in the program to receive payments, no action is required.

At the same time, Amazon also stated that it is working hard to get more qualified payment service providers to join the program, and the PSP list will be updated every week . Sellers must choose the following payment service providers to be compliant.

Sellers expressed different opinions on the update of this plan

Seller A: I don’t want to change it. It’s very troublesome and hard to get used to.

Seller B: I am not interested in the appearance of the PSP list!

Seller C: It's acceptable, as long as it's safe.

In February this year , Amazon launched the "Payment Service Provider Program". Since its launch, it has protected the rights of sellers and buyers from infringement and fraud. However, at the time, some sellers said that the new program had a relatively large impact on new sellers.

In any case, sellers have to adapt to Amazon's update of the plan.

For sellers who choose service providers that have participated in this program , or sellers who do not use payment service providers but choose to open their own bank accounts to receive payments , Amazon's "operation" will not have a big impact on them, and they can just sit back and do nothing.

However, if sellers continue to use services provided by service providers that do not participate in this program between May 31 and July 14, the fund reservation period will be extended. More seriously, if sellers still do not choose a payment service provider that meets the platform requirements after July 15, Amazon will stop paying sellers.

The implementation of the update plan has entered the countdown, which means that the sellers have little time left. If some sellers still choose to ignore it, they may not get paid in the end.

In fact, the implementation and update of the plan are all aimed at making payments more compliant and moving to a higher level. At the same time, it also serves as a wake-up call for sellers, especially new sellers, to be cautious when choosing payment service providers and avoid potential risks.
