South Korea's happiness index is rising! Office supplies will be popular after returning to the workplace

It is reported that on the 24th, the new coronavirus vaccine developed by the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca and approved by the South Korean government was officially delivered. The vaccine will be transported to health stations across the country the next day, and vaccination will start at 9 am on the 27th.

Under the epidemic, Koreans' lifestyles have been subverted, working from home has become the norm, and face-to-face communication between people, except for family members, has decreased. Coupled with lack of exercise and declining economic levels, South Korea's national happiness index has declined.

Survey results show that the COVID-19 epidemic has had a greater impact on women, young people, the elderly and low-income people .

It seems that more people are eager to get their lives back on track, and they would rather work in the office than at home in order to communicate more effectively, collaborate better in teams, and improve productivity.

When people return to the workplace, the demand for office supplies will increase significantly. For example, essential office supplies such as folders, file bags, sticky notes, paper shredders, desks, money counters, etc. will be very popular.

It is reported that on the 23rd, the Korea Institute of Public Administration released the " 2020 Social Solidarity Survey" . The Korea Institute of Public Administration conducted a survey on 8,336 people aged 19 and above from September to October last year .

The survey included questions on five areas, including overall perceptions of happiness , physical health , social relationships , family , finances, and workplace-related health and well-being.

The results showed that if happiness is divided into 0-10 points, the happiness index of Koreans is 6.4 points, which is lower than 6.5 points last year. And the proportion of respondents who chose 10 points, that is, "very happy", dropped sharply from 4.2% in 2019 to 1.5% in 2020.

In addition, the survey also investigated the current economic stability of the respondents, with the result being 4.8 points (out of 10), a decrease of 0.2 points year-on-year.

In the health status score, the average score given by the respondents was 3.6 points (out of 5 points), a decrease of 0.1 point year-on-year.

Vaccination may change people's perception of the COVID-19 pandemic and rekindle their passion for life. It is understood that the country's happiness index is recovering .

Some experts said: "Vaccination is expected to have only a direct impact on people's physical health, but it has a positive effect in many ways, and the focus on jobs and financial issues should allow us to resume our daily lives more quickly."
