According to CNBC, Amazon is expected to account for more than 40% of U.S. e-commerce sales by the end of this year . According to eMarketer, e-commerce sales accounted for only 3.6% of total U.S. retail sales in 2008. eMarketer predicts that this year's Prime Day total sales in the United States will increase by 17.3% year-on-year to $12.18 billion. Among them, Amazon's exclusive sales on Prime Day will also increase by 18.3% from 2020 to $7.31 billion.
