eBay Greater China Managed Payment is here, and email invitations will be sent starting in April

Previously, eBay announced that it would launch a managed payment service in Greater China, and now, this service is really coming.

eBay officials said that starting from April, eBay will send invitations to sellers in batches to register for managed payments. Sellers must pay attention to their registered email addresses and complete the registration in a timely manner after receiving the invitation to avoid affecting their eBay business and eBay accounts.

It is reported that eBay managed payments support Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, credit cards, etc. For sellers, there are more payment options, checkout is easier and more flexible. According to eBay, it will also "bring more sales opportunities to sellers". Most eBay fees will be deducted directly from the sales proceeds, and sellers do not need to pay any additional fees.

In addition, sellers can find all information related to eBay transactions and fees in the eBay seller area, without the need for consolidated reports, making business management easier and more convenient.

At the same time, eBay has also launched a calculation method for international sales fees and fee discounts applicable to sellers in Greater China. The rate of international sales fees is determined by the seller's registered address or the delivery address of the item. Eligible sellers can enjoy different levels of discounts after the total sales of a single account on all eBay sites reaches a certain level. Some can even be exempted from international sales fees.

eBay officials said that based on existing data, most sellers will be able to save overall costs and increase profits after using managed payment services. However, some foreign media reported that some foreign sellers have to pay higher fees after registering for managed payment.

In fact, the registration and management of payment has been attracting much attention from Chinese sellers since the day it was announced. On the one hand, some sellers said that registration and management of payment will indeed become more convenient. On the other hand, some sellers are worried about the safety of payment, time limit and account security after registration and management of payment.

Previously, some sellers reported that their accounts registered abroad were restricted shortly after they registered for managed payments. Not only were they unable to sell, they were also unable to withdraw money, and they received no response when they contacted customer service. However, at present, it is imperative for eBay to implement managed payments. If Chinese sellers want to continue selling on eBay, they still have to choose to register for managed payments.
