Online sales increased 300 times, the epidemic boosted the demand for coffee in the UAE

In 2020 , Emirati Coffee's online sales increased by 3,135%. Since March 22, 2020, in the first two months of the pandemic, Emirati Coffee's online sales reached a record high of 1,763%.

According to the company's CEO, Mohammed Ali Ahmadfi, Emirati Coffee is the fastest growing coffee business in the region, attracting the attention of global food and beverage chains. As of now, Emirati Coffee provides specialty coffee to more than 160 outlets in the UAE and around the world.

Coffee was already a major consumer product in e-commerce grocery products before 2020, but the pandemic has once again driven the growth of coffee demand. Because people can’t go to cafes or supermarkets to buy coffee during the pandemic, they can only turn to online consumption,” Ahmadfei said.

In addition, due to the growing expatriate population in the UAE in recent years, the demand for Western culture and brands has also increased, which has led to an increase in the demand for branded coffee in the UAE. Ahmad Fei said: "Against the backdrop of growing demand for specialty branded coffee, we will see an increase in the number of coffee shops offering innovative coffee products. Therefore, we are confident that we will maintain healthy development in the coffee industry in the coming years."

Ahmadfi said 2021 will be an exciting year for Emirati Coffee, which will open its flagship coffee boutique in Abu Dhabi’s Yas Mall in the third quarter of this year and expand into Saudi Arabia with its distribution partner Hessa Trading Company.

It is reported that Saudi Arabia is the main market for Emirati Coffee, and the company plans to open an Emirati Coffee roasting workshop in Riyadh in 2022.

Currently, Emirati Coffee is negotiating with Chinese investors to seek opportunities to enter the Chinese market next year. Over the past four years, Emirati Coffee's sales have been rising, and its multi-channel sales have met the current needs of the UAE market.

Emirati Coffee 's roastery is located in Al Qouz, covers an area of 4,000 square feet, can produce and process 36 tons of coffee beans a month, and has high-quality beans from more than 30 origins.

In order to provide a high-quality customer experience, Emirati Coffee strictly controls every link, from coffee bean selection to cup making, and provides high-quality products while maintaining competitive prices.
