International Women's Day is coming, Russian consumers prefer these gifts

Avito conducted a survey of 2,000 Russians and analyzed the two points of "what gifts women want" and "what gifts men give." In general, the ideal gifts for Russian women coincide with those given by men, with jewelry, cosmetics, perfumes, gift certificates and electronic products becoming the most popular gifts for Russian consumers on Women's Day.

Russian women want more jewelry, and there is also demand for electronic products

The report shows that 38% of Russian women want to receive jewelry on March 8, and 30% want cosmetics or perfume . About 27% prefer to shop in stores, so they prefer to receive gift certificates . 13% prefer clothes or shoes as gifts.

From a regional perspective, women in Moscow and St. Petersburg are more interested in jewelry, cosmetics and perfume.

In addition, 27% of Russian women said they hope to receive gifts that show more care on the holiday, such as breakfast made by their loved ones or a massage.

Flowers seem to be difficult to satisfy Russian women. Data shows that only 1% of respondents said they wanted to receive flowers.

The survey also revealed an interesting point: a large number of respondents said they wanted to receive electronic products on the holiday. 18% of people hope to receive home appliances such as TVs, hair dryers, blenders, etc. 14% of people hope to receive small electronic products such as iPhones or other brands of mobile phones, laptops, smart watches, tablets and game consoles.

Most Russian men choose cosmetics and perfume as gifts

Avito 's survey shows that this year 44% of men choose cosmetics and perfume as gifts, 28% plan to give gift certificates , and 27% decide to give jewelry . According to Avito platform data, the platform's jewelry demand increased by 52% year-on-year, and the demand for gift certificates increased by 25% year-on-year.

In addition, 15% of men plan to give away home appliances such as TVs and hair dryers. 12% plan to give away small electronic products . This phenomenon is also reflected in market demand. The demand for kitchen appliances on the Avito platform has recently increased by 22%, home appliances by 24%, and personal care equipment such as hair dryers, irons and massagers has increased by 52% compared with the previous year.

In addition, Avito's survey last year showed that these gifts were also very popular during last year's festival. It can be seen that in the past two years, Russian consumers have been relatively fixed in their choice of gifts for Women's Day.
