Korean marriage information company Duoed released the " Korea Marriage Cost Report " on the 23rd, which surveyed 1,000 newlyweds who got married in Korea in the past two years.
The report shows that the average wedding expenses of Korean newlyweds are about 230 million won ( 1.34 million yuan ) , of which 190 million won is for housing expenses , accounting for 81.6% of the total wedding expenses , almost the majority.
The wedding hall cost 8.96 million won, which was the second highest. In addition, the wedding dress (studio, dress, makeup) cost 2.78 million won, gifts (6.19 million won), gift list (7.29 million won), Korean wedding traditional food Ibaji (790,000 won), dowry (13.09 million won), and honeymoon trip (4.37 million won).
As for the newlyweds’ house , the most popular choice is “renting” , accounting for 53.9% . Self-purchase only accounts for 31.6% , followed by semi-rigid (referring to converting part of the rent into monthly rent to reduce the deposit) 6.1 % and monthly rent 2.6%.
In addition, seven out of ten newlyweds ( 71.2%) answered that they started their marriage in an "apartment," followed by a villa (14.5%), an ordinary house (9.5%), and an office building (4.7%).
However, in Seoul, 3 out of 10 newlyweds (28.4%) started their married life in a villa. Meanwhile, newlyweds in Seoul had to pay an average of 257.24 million won for housing , which is an additional 67.24 million won.
According to statistics, excluding housing funds, the average wedding expenses of Korean newlyweds are 43.47 million won. The "wedding expenses" include the ceremony hall and wedding banquet package, which cost an average of 11.74 million won.
The cost of marriage in South Korea is so high, this may be the reason why the marriage rate in South Korea is declining year by year!
In addition, the wedding item that Korean newlyweds want to reduce most is the gift money (30.1%), followed by the gift money (26.6%), the betrothal gift (11.8%), the wedding gift box (10.3%), the wedding hall (5.6%), and the dowry (4.9%).
Most young people in Korea are now actively considering " small weddings ". The survey shows that most respondents (92.4%) want to simplify their marriages, but ultimately fail to do so!
The main reasons for not simplifying marriage are "parents' traditional way of thinking" (35.9%) , rigid marriage procedures ( 29.1%), and the desire to follow etiquette and procedures ( 19.8 %).
In addition, when asked whether they need help from their parents to get married, 5 out of 10 respondents (45.1%) thought that they could get married independently without help from their parents .
However, the proportion of respondents who said they needed help from their parents in their marriage was higher, such as it was possible to get help ( 22.4%), most of the time it was necessary (17.6%), and it was absolutely impossible without help (14.9%). South Korea Cost of marriage marry |
