Sellers, check it out: Buyer reviews influence 60% of consumer purchases

Buyer reviews, as one of the key factors influencing consumers' purchase of products, have become more important today, especially with the continuous development of e-commerce, various pictures and text information generated by users have attracted much attention from consumers.

 

Recently, a survey data showed that among consumers from Australia, Canada, France, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States, nearly two-thirds ( 62%) of consumers said that if they could see relevant photos and videos of customers who have already purchased the product, their proportion of purchasing the product would increase.

 

Many consumers said they want to learn more about products before buying them, rather than just relying on the seller’s product description. About a quarter of consumers said they could find out less obvious product information through buyer reviews, and almost all consumers said they want to check the quality, fit, and material of a product before buying it.

 

 

In fact, customer reviews influence purchases on social media. Survey data shows that 26.4% of consumers said Facebook is a popular destination for them to make purchases based on UGC (customer reviews), while fewer consumers (25.3%) said that UGC on the platform influenced their purchasing decisions.

 

 

In addition, many consumers said that social platforms such as Instagram and YouTube have a certain influence because consumers will share products they think are good on social platforms, which will influence consumers to buy.

 

In short, consumers nowadays do not like the direct marketing of mainstream media and some companies, but prefer some buyers' comments or influential evaluation experts. In fact, with the rapid development of e-commerce, many live broadcast bloggers have appeared on social platforms. Their ability to bring goods should not be underestimated and they are also favored by consumers.

 

Sellers need to note that buyers’ comments are one of the important factors that influence consumers’ purchase of goods. Only by insisting on making high-quality products can they truly gain consumers’ favor and increase product sales.
