It is reported that 55haitao was founded in 2011 and became the first Chinese website in China to provide overseas shopping rebates in 2012. Headquartered in Shanghai, it has branches in Los Angeles, Japan, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shenzhen, Chongqing and other places.
55haitao's operating models include "shopping guide rebate" and "internet marketing". Shopping guide rebate means that after collecting sales commissions based on the transaction amount of goods, part of the sales commission is returned to consumers, allowing consumers to enjoy discounted prices; Internet marketing means using big data to provide accurate advertising for overseas brands, overseas e-commerce platforms, etc. through its LinkHaitao performance marketing alliance.
Data shows that in the first half of 2020, 55 Haitao's revenue was 191 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 18.87%, and has achieved substantial development. Accordingly, the e-commerce platform signed a listing guidance agreement with Guojin Securities at the end of August, intending to be listed on the A-share market. In 2016, it had received an investment of 100 million yuan from Jingji Venture Capital, which currently holds a 20% stake in 55 Haitao.
