LAFAYETTE 148 NEW YORK was born in 1996 on LAFAYETTE Avenue in the SOHO district of Manhattan, New York, USA, hence its name. After more than a decade of development, the brand has a total of 400 retail outlets in North America, covering famous department stores such as SAKS FIFTH AVENUE, NEIMAN MARCUS, BLOOMINGDALE'S and NORDSTROM. LAFAYETTE 148 NEW YORK also provides customers with convenient online shopping and direct mail services. Since March 2012, LAFAYETTE 148 NEW YORK has opened boutiques in Shanghai, Beijing, Wuhan and Hangzhou, four of China's top modern cities, to share every bit of beauty with the women in the city.

2000: Won the Design Impact Vision Atlanta (DIVA) Fashion Award

2004: Edward Wilkerson was invited to become a member of the American Designers Association

2005: Launch of e-commerce website

2006: Edward Wilkerson wins NBC's Newbie Challenge

2007: Founded Dream Primary School in Shantou, China

2008: Completed construction of newest production headquarters in Shantou, China

2009: First direct mail catalogue launched

2011: E-commerce website ranked 375th in Internet Retailer Top 500; first brand store opened on SAKSFIFTHAVENUE Fifth Avenue

2012: LAFAYETTE 148 NEW YORK’s first expansion in Asia – the Shanghai boutique opened in Jiuguang Department Store

2013: With the opening of Beijing International Trade Center, Wuhan International Plaza and Hangzhou Building, LAFAYETTE 148 NEW YORK's business in China continues to grow. At the same time, the first brand concept store is also grandly opened in SOHO, Manhattan, New York.
