Lazada upgrades logistics pricing system and launches Global Plus, reducing merchant costs by up to 78%

Global Plus, Lazada's project to upgrade its logistics pricing system, has attracted the attention of cross-border merchants . According to Lazada's public data, the number of merchant-related inquiries on "How to join Global Plus?" has increased three times in the past month in seller dialogues.

 

It is understood that Global Plus can comprehensively optimize merchants' logistics costs, effectively improving the competitiveness of goods in the Southeast Asian market without affecting merchants' gross profits; therefore, it received a lot of praise during the trial period, which also made the call for Global Plus to be fully open to cross-border sellers increasingly strong.

A large number of merchants believe that the full opening of Global Plus is good news for the industry. Zhang Xin, the cross-border manager of Hebei Xinboyuan, is a cross-border merchant who has been operating on Lazada for several years. Since the prices of commodities in the industry have always been relatively transparent, the business has been in a stable period for a long time. More than a month ago, Zhang Xin received an invitation from the official waiter to participate in Global Plus. Hearing that participation would not affect the merchant's gross profit, Zhang Xin decided to give it a try.

 

In just one month, Zhang Xin was delighted to find that Global Plus could indeed effectively stimulate order growth.

 

"The most direct thing is that we sellers don't have to spend money to lower the price of goods!" When facing the interview, Zhang Xin excitedly talked about his business experience: "Our recent orders have directly increased by nearly 30%! It helps the business a lot! Mainly because after participating in Lazada Global Plus, our international logistics costs have been reduced by 50%, and all the money has been passed on to consumers." Zhang Xin said excitedly.

 

GFT, a women's clothing brand, was also one of the first merchants to be invited to join Global Plus. It mainly sells cotton clothing made of solid materials. Jason Zhang, the head of the brand, talked about his experience of being invited to try Global Plus: " Southeast Asian consumers are more sensitive to clothing prices. After upgrading to Global Plus, the order stimulation for the products is very direct. For example, we have a relatively heavy knitted women's clothing in our store. After joining Global Plus, the cost of each piece of this product can be reduced by 50 baht. The price subsidy brought by this will undoubtedly make us more attractive in the market."
