Amazon's new return policy angers buyers!

As the largest e-commerce shopping platform in the United States, Amazon is definitely the "white moonlight" in the hearts of most American consumers. However, recently this white moonlight seems to have offended its own users.

According to Amazon's latest return policy: In most cases, buyers can request to return goods within 30 days of receiving the goods. Amazon may make exceptions based on specific circumstances and accept return requests after 30 days of receipt. There are not many problems with this.

What caused dissatisfaction among buyers was another policy: Amazon has the right to determine whether buyers are abusing the return policy. If it is determined to be "policy abuse", the buyer may be charged a return fee or even be unable to return the goods.

According to feedback from many buyers, this policy has prevented many return orders from being processed normally, and some orders have had transaction amounts frozen or return fees deducted during the investigation period.

Recently, a foreign buyer made a "harsh statement" on TikTok because of this incident : I am almost not going to buy anything on Amazon anymore!

The buyer recounted her experience in a video posted on TikTok. She placed an order worth more than $300 on Amazon a month ago and then applied for a refund for the order. But the day before posting the video, she woke up and found that the shipping fee had been deducted from her account.

In order to find out what was going on, the buyer called Amazon for help, but her questions were not answered. Customer service only told her that the late charge was based on the "new policy."

"She (customer service) couldn't explain and couldn't tell me why. She just said it was our (Amazon's) new policy, that's all." The buyer said that the deduction and the response given by customer service forced her to reconsider her relationship with Amazon.

"I'm about to stop shopping on Amazon," said the buyer, adding that he shopped on Amazon because of the platform's convenience, but now it has obviously gone against his original intention.

Some people in the comments also expressed their dissatisfaction with Amazon and how they solved similar problems. For example, one user said that he now uses Amazon gift cards or Afterpay to avoid being charged unnecessary fees by Amazon.
