On October 16 , AliExpress's Brazilian tax payment service has been officially launched, greatly reducing the risk of Brazilian packages being stuck. AliExpress said it will continue to increase investment and subsidies in the Brazilian market to ensure the competitiveness of product prices.
The reporter learned that with the launch of the tax payment service, Brazilian consumers can pay taxes when placing orders on the AliExpress platform, and merchants no longer need to worry about being stuck because of consumers' unwillingness to pay taxes. At the same time, packages can enjoy the customs "green customs clearance channel", and the initial logistics time can be achieved within 10 days, and will be further accelerated as the process and infrastructure are improved.
With the clarification of Brazil's tariff policy and the implementation of platform capabilities, merchants will actually enjoy a series of benefits, including duty-free cross-border packages below US$ 50 , increased customs clearance speed, and reduced customs bottleneck risks.
AliExpress said it will continue to increase investment and subsidies in the Brazilian market, continue to ensure the competitiveness of commodity prices while improving timeliness, and work with merchants to adapt to the tax reform policy and achieve a smooth transition. Specific measures include:
1. Traffic investment: Invest tens of millions of US dollars to expand the user base , increase traffic support for tax payment logistics service products , cooperate with more than 100 highly influential Internet celebrities /KOLs/stars , and vigorously promote on YouTube, Facebook, Tiktok and other channels ;
2. Subsidy investment: During the Double 11 period, large subsidies of over 15 % were fully issued to improve product price competitiveness, and consumers of overseas warehouse products can enjoy interest-free installments;
3. Logistics investment: We will continue to accelerate logistics routes. Goods that have been taxed and paid for can now be delivered to your door within 10 days , and the efficiency will be further improved in the future.
In fact, although the new Brazilian tax policy has tightened the inspection of tariffs, for consumers, the rules of cross-border shopping are clearer, instead of waiting until the goods arrive at the customs to find out how much tax to pay as in the past. Moreover, even after tax, most Chinese products have obvious price advantages compared with local Brazilian supply. Therefore, consumers are still willing to place orders on cross-border platforms such as AliExpress.
