run

Online merchants link their shopping cart or marketplace seller account with AfterShip, which currently supports Amazon, eBay, Magento, Shopify, and Volusion shopping carts. AfterShip will then automatically import tracking numbers for all existing or future packages, and online merchants can also send customized delivery status notification messages to customers via SMS, email, or Twitter.

feature

Founder Teddy said that AfterShip's core competitiveness lies in its ability to seize the time opportunity and not spend any marketing expenses in the early stage. In addition, the product itself is also differentiated. The products and services provided by AfterShip are designed to create a closed loop, including three aspects:

1. Utilize cloud technology to track express delivery: Automatically query the express delivery information of more than 530 express delivery companies around the world, and assist merchants to notify recipients of updated information in the first place. Provide e-commerce with customized express delivery query pages, allowing their customers to view product advertisements while checking express delivery, thus realizing intelligent marketing;

2. Printing orders: Easily print orders from multiple express delivery companies around the world and calculate freight costs. Help e-commerce companies manage orders from different sales platforms in one place and automatically return data;

3. Return customer service optimization and full automation: Provide e-commerce with a customized return page. Enterprises can establish a cross-border e-commerce return and exchange process through the SaaS platform to reduce return and exchange costs.

Entrepreneurship Story

  • Founder & CEO Teddy Chan is a serial entrepreneur. After graduating from university in 2004, he spent only 5 months on eBay to achieve a monthly turnover of 3 million US dollars from 0 to 1. At that time, Teddy sold goods all over the world, but there was no real-time communication software abroad, so he could only communicate through emails. Due to language and time differences, customers often asked when they would receive the goods and other information. This was a burden for sellers and was not conducive to the consumer experience.

  • Teddy attended the first Startup Weekend event in Hong Kong in 2011, where he met another founder, Andrew Chan. Andrew is the CPO of AfterShip and used to work at Accenture, a world-class consulting company. His original intention to start a business was inspired by a multinational B2B SaaS project that took several years and cost tens of millions of dollars but ended in failure. This gave him the idea of creating a simple, easy-to-use, direct and effective B2B SaaS tool.

  • The two formed a team and won the victory with the idea of "automatic express delivery". In the same year, they represented Hong Kong in the United States and competed with 60 winning teams from around the world and won the Global Startup Battle annual award, becoming the world champion of entrepreneurship. Later, their ideas were favored by many angel investors. In April 2012, the two officially founded the company.
