In recent years, China has attached increasing importance to the protection and supervision of intellectual property rights. According to statistics from the General Administration of Customs, in the first two months of this year, the customs seized a total of 6,280 batches of suspected infringing goods , a year-on-year increase of 2.37 times. 2,862 cases have been filed with the General Administration of Customs, a year-on-year increase of 5%.
It is reported that in order to further protect intellectual property rights, China's customs has recently launched the "Operation Dragon 2021" intellectual property special operation to crack down on infringements through various channels and methods.
This special operation focuses on monitoring high-risk infringing goods such as food, medicine, cigarettes, clothing, watches, shoes and hats, toys, consumer electronics and personal care products; the monitoring area includes infringing goods shipped to North America, South America, Europe, Africa and countries and regions along the Belt and Road.
It is reported that Huangpu Customs actively promoted the "Dragon Teng Action 2020" Customs Intellectual Property Protection Special Action. During the special action, Huangpu Customs seized more than 1,000 batches of infringing goods and 5.3 million infringing products.
Huangpu Customs said that with the prosperity of emerging industries such as cross-border e-commerce, import and export infringing products have gradually shifted to sea transportation channels, and it is necessary to crack down on various channels to protect brand intellectual property rights. Last year, Huangpu Customs has protected the legitimate rights and interests of more than 100 domestic and foreign companies.
Recently, Shatin Customs under Huangpu Customs seized another batch of goods suspected of infringing the intellectual property rights of multiple brands, including hoodies, jackets, trousers, sneakers, etc., totaling 749 items.
During a routine customs inspection, Shatin Customs found some problems with a batch of exported clothing. While inspecting this batch of exported clothing, Shatin Customs found that although these shoes and clothes were printed with brand logos of big brands such as "Nike", "Puma" and "Adidas", the packaging was very simple, the workmanship was relatively rough, and there were vague declaration problems.
After careful analysis by the customs officers on site, they unanimously agreed that this batch of goods was highly suspected of infringement and temporarily detained them.
After confirmation by the brand rights holder, it was found that this batch of goods was suspected of infringing the exclusive trademark rights of three companies, namely Nike Innovation Limited Partnership, Puma Europe GmbH, and adidas AG, which were registered with the General Administration of Customs.
It is reported that the brand's rights holder has submitted an application for intellectual property customs protection and a guarantee. The case is under further processing and the specific results have not yet been announced.
At present, my country's brand intellectual property protection laws are gradually improving, and the crackdown on infringing products is also very strict. Sellers must establish brand awareness and pay attention to product infringement issues to avoid irreparable losses. Infringement customs brand |
