AliExpress continues to cut prices

AliExpress continues to cut prices

Just after announcing the launch of the "Global Package Five-Day Delivery" international express product, AliExpress and Cainiao have lowered the fees of some of the platform's worry-free logistics routes, covering eight countries including Russia, Spain, Brazil, the United States, and Mexico, with the largest reduction exceeding 20% . It is reported that this is the second consecutive quarter that AliExpress and Cainiao have lowered logistics costs.

The price reduction is mainly concentrated in the Worry-free Standard Line, which also includes Worry-free Simple, Special Cargo Standard, Special Cargo Standard Express, Special Cargo Simple and other solutions. In the Worry-free Standard Line, the maximum reduction in Mexico's general cargo and live cargo reached 23 % , and the maximum reduction in Brazil's live cargo also reached 21 % . The overall reduction in Spain, Israel, Brazil, Chile, Mexico and other countries is 8 %-15% .

For example, the best-selling road wheel set in AliExpress's overseas 618 summer promotion weighs about 1.3kg . After the price adjustment, it can be shipped to Spain through the worry-free standard, saving 12 yuan per shipment. For bicycle accessories weighing less than 500g , the average shipping cost can also be reduced by 3-5 yuan.

AliExpress said at this year's Merchant Conference that it would focus on improving delivery time and user experience, and has made frequent moves on the logistics side in the past two months. In May , five domestic official warehouses were opened to meet the rapidly growing delivery needs of fully managed and platform-operated merchants; in June, a new overseas warehouse in the Middle East and the United Arab Emirates was added to provide 5-7 days of delivery time for Saudi Arabia and Israel ; in addition, the Shandong warehouse for the Korean market has recently expanded its capacity by more than 30,000 square meters , continuing to ensure a quasi-local logistics experience of 3-5 days in Korea ; the Brazilian national station has increased investment in overseas warehouses to provide time and cost insurance for high-order merchants.

At the Global Smart Logistics Summit held last week, AliExpress and Cainiao jointly announced that they will officially launch the "Global Five-Day Delivery" international express product this year, starting with key national markets and gradually enabling cross-border parcels to be delivered within 5 working days. The competitiveness of China's cross-border e-commerce in the world will be further enhanced.
