TinEye is a reverse image search engine that uses existing images to search for similar images, and also provides other special search services.

About TinEye

On the reverse image search engine TinEye, users can submit an image and find out where it came from, how it was used, whether there is a modified version or how to find a higher resolution version. TinEye is the first online reverse image search engine that obtains image information through image recognition technology rather than keywords, metadata or watermarks. Non-commercial searches are free to use.

·TinEye is also a technology that uses images to search for images. At first, TinEye invited registration, and later it was open for registration, but it required registration to use. Now it is finally fully open, and you can use the search engine without registration or login. Although TinEye is a search engine from abroad, it can not only search for images from foreign websites, but also support domestic image links, and can even search for images on major domestic forums.

Format

TinEye currently supports the following image formats: JPEG, PNG and GIF.

Image file size limit: 1 megabyte maximum file size.

Function Introduction

1. TinEye allows you to search for the full version or high-definition version of a picture or similar pictures by part or all of the picture. It can:

(1) If you get a picture but the resolution is very low, you can use it to find a higher resolution picture (provided that it exists on the Internet and is included in TinEye).

(2) I saw a user’s profile picture on a forum and it looked really cool, so I wanted to find out where it came from.

(3) If you only have part of the image (this often happens), or if the image you have has a watermark or annotation such as "PS By Fly-sapce", you can use TinEye to find the original image.

2. TinEye also provides other special search services, such as music search.

3. TinEye also provides browser plug-in support. This plug-in can be integrated into the browser to make it easier to use the image search function. It supports almost all mainstream browsers, including IE, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, and Safari.

4. Another service worth mentioning about TinEye is that it provides a search API, namely TinEye Search API. This API is charged by the number of searches. Through the API it provides, you can integrate the image reverse search function into your website. In a search API call, it will return the total number of search results, the URL address of each matching image, the URL address of the page where each matching image is located, etc. Search API is generally used by some commercial companies or organizations, mainly used in image copyright ownership determination, personnel information verification, trademark monitoring, image tracking and content uniqueness determination.

use

1. Simply copy and paste the webpage or image URL into the search box. After submitting the image in the above way, TinEye will search for similar images.

2. TinEye also provides plug-ins and bookmark script buttons for IE, Chrome, Firefox and other browsers. After installing the TinEye plug-in, users can right-click on images on the web page in the browser to search.

Main Application
